Scarber. Robert was a retired

and was a member of Sam Houston
Masonic Lodge and the Huxley Volunteer

Center High School. He passed
away August 29, 2007, in Dallas,
at the age of 83. Mr. Taylor was
an Air Force Veteran, serving
during WWII. He was retired from
the Dallas County Sheriff's Department
where he worked as a DSO. Hilton
is predeceased by his loving wife
of 52 years, Margie Helen "Totsie"
Lawson Taylor in 2002. He is survived
by his children, Karen Ann Conley,

Michael Taylor, 10 grandchildren,
11 great-grandchildren, sister,

Bureau of Investigation for five
years before joining the Navy
following Pearl Harbor. Mr. Goodson
served in the Pacific Theater
until the war ended, then returned
to Houston to set up a Law practice.
Mr. Goodson practiced Law for
64 years, served as Justice of
the Peace, Garrison City Attorney,
a Director at the Commercial State
Bank in Garrison and was a quiet
contributor to the Garrison community.
Mr.
Goodson was an avid reader and
forever a student of Texas history.
He also loved roaming flea markets
and junk shops collecting Texana,
primitive tools and furniture.

She was also a member of the Business
and Professional Women's organization.
She worked in the cosmetic counter
at Nederland Pharmacy on Boston
Ave. for 23 years from 1940 to
1963 and made many lifelong friends.
She
is preceded in death by her parents

and her only son, James Harold
Fults.
She
and her husband Sebo, who worked
with Halliburton, traveled extensively

SFA, James was commissioned an
officer in the U S Marine Corps.
Following his military discharge,
he and his wife Mary Helen, moved
to Orange, where they raised their
beloved daughter Renee. James
taught and coached at Bridge City
High School before joining Goodrich/Bayer
Corporation where he retired in
1995. A longtime member of Sunset
Grove Country Club, he leaves
many lifelong friends and golf
partners and will continue to
watch the "Raiders"
from above during their weekly
game.
An
avid gardener, James was a kind
and generous man. His strength
of character and respect for all
people is the legacy he leaves
for his family to carry forward.
A loving and devoted husband,
father and grandfather. He will
be missed every day and never
forgotten.
His

Jr., 61 departed this Earth on
Monday July 30, 2007 in Dallas,
Texas following post-surgical
complications. A Native of Center,
Texas he had been a longtime resident
of Dallas and owner of Ginger's
Petals and Bows flower shop in
Mesquite, Texas. He was a graduate
of Center High School Class of
1964. He received a Bachelor of
Science Degree from Stephen F.
Austin State College in 1968 and
attended Baylor University School
of Law until returning to Center
to work in the family business,
Watson and Watson Furniture Store.
Gene was an active member and
officer of the Center Jaycees
for several years and served as
a director, Judge and board member
of numerous Miss Texas state and
local beauty pageants. He was
the owner of Ebbies Oddities in
Center prior to moving to Dallas.
Gene was the youngest son of Clyde
and Elizabeth Watson, grandson
of Tom and Minnie Watson and Joe
and Lillian Hays, all of whom
preceded him in death. He is survived

Mrs. Joyce Thom of Houston, numerous
cousins, step nieces and nephews,
a host of friends and his loving
pets, Princess, Ginger, Daphine
and George. Gene had a passionate
love for his friends, relatives,
and every aspect of life. He traveled
extensively throughout the world
and had a deep appreciation of
the quality of his life. His creative
skills were in fact, a gift from
God. Visitation will be Sunday,
August 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
at Watson and Sons Funeral Home,
in Center. Funeral Services will
be held the following day at 3:00
PM officiated by his cousin, Rev.
Robert B. Hays assisted by Bro.
Mike Scrimpshire, and music provided
by life long friend, Janis Lacy
Compton. Pallbearers will be his
cousins, Dr. Thomas D. Watson,
III, William F. Harrison, Jr.,
Chris Byrnes, C.M. (Bub) Byrnes,
Jerry Williams, Russell Porter,
Bryan Harrison, James Holloway
and Russ Porter.
Interment will follow at Oaklawn
Memorial Park.
The family expresses appreciation
for the loving care provided by
the medical staff at Baylor University
Medical Center Dallas. For those
desiring, in lieu of flowers,
the family requests memorial contributions
be made to a charity of your choice
in Gene's memory.
