passed away Monday, July 30,
2007 at her home.
At
her request she has been cremated.

Memorial Service will be held
10:00 a.m. Friday, August
3, 2007 at the First United
Methodist Church in Center
with Rev. Greg McGill officiating.
Cremains to be interred at
Memorial Gardens in St. Charles,
Missouri at a later date.
Mrs.
Scott was born in Oakville,
Iowa on June 5, 1930 to Charles
and Ola Scale Scott. She was
a member of the First Methodist
Church and was a homemaker.

and she received her degree
from Texas Womens College

F. Austin State University.
She was a member of First
United Methodist Church. She
and her husband Virgil owned
and operated Prince Building
Material here in Center for
many years. She was active
in many organizations including
the Center Music Study Club,
Center Woman Reading Club,
United Methodist Womens Group
and she was one of the Charter
members of Beta Sigma Phi
Soroity . She also served
on the Board of Directors
for Fannie Brown Booth Library
and she was a graduate of
the Cloud Croft New Mexico
Art Academy. She had a lifelong
love of painting and she taught
private lessons in Center
and San Augustine. Many people
in Center have paintings by
Kathryn Prince.
She is preceded in death by

William Greer, Jr.
was born in Appleby, Texas
September 26, 1942, to the
late Seborn William Greer,
Sr. and Gertrude Kilgore Greer.
At 64 years of age, he went
to be with his Lord and Savior
July 21, 2007. Soon after
graduating from Nacogdoches
High School in 1962, Seborn
joined the U.S. Army and was
stationed at Fort MacArthur
in Los Angeles, California.
Upon his discharge from the
army in 1965, he joined the
Dallas Police Department where
he served the public for 12
years while simultaneously
furthering his education.
After receiving a scholarship
through the Dallas Police
Department, he graduated from
the University of Texas of
the Permian Basin in 1974
with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
In 1977, having achieved the
highest rank of sergeant,
he retired from the police
department to start a career
offshore in the Gulf of Mexico
as an oil and gas production
lease operator and continued
in this field until his death.
He is survived by his wife
of 44 years Grace McNeil Greer;
son Seborn William Greer III,
daughter-in-law Susan, and
children Megan and Micah;
son Brent Allen Greer, daughter-in-law
Glenna, and children Myla,
Male¹na, and Ryland.He
is also survived by his siblings,
sisters, Helen Calame of Wortham,
Texas and Peggy Beck of Cushing,
Texas, brothers, Tommy Greer
of Round Rock, Texas, and
Jerry "Tony" Greer
of Nacogdoches, Texas, and
numerous nieces, nephews and
