84 year old, James L. Gray, of Timpson.

in state from 10 to 11 o’clock

Mr. Gray’s survivors are six sons,

Darrell Brittain, 79,
of Many died October 25, 2006 at Christus
Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, La.
Funeral
Services will be held at 5 pm at the
Johnson Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday,
October 28, with Rev. Jimmy Ward Officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 pm until the
hour of service at the funeral home.
Graveside committal services will be
at 2 pm Sunday at Folsom Chapel Cemetery
near Center, Texas.
Mr.
Brittain was born in Shelby County,
Texas September 20, 1927 the son of
the late Tyre Henderson Brittain and
Vera Green Brittain. He moved to Lake
Charles in 1968, having lived in Lake
Charles and Sulphur until 1990 when
he moved to Many to pursue his life
long love of fishing. He was a long
time member of the Lake Charles Bass
club and a dedicated outdoorsman, having
hunted and traveled throughout the western
United States.
Mr.
Brillain, retired from Conoco after
20 years of service. He was Baptist
and a member of 32nd Degree mason of
the 165 Masonic Lodge of Lake Charles,
Veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict.
He also umpired and coached for the
South Lake Charles Little League adn
the former Babe Ruth baseball League.
Mr.
Brittain was preceded in death by his
parents, brother, O'Bryane Brittain,
sister, Beatrice Ward and a granddaughter.

include; his wife, Mae S. Brittain of
Many, Sons, Robert Brittain, of Lake
Charles, Steve, (Cindy) Brittain of

Missionary Baptist Church.

is preceded in death by her parents

She served as secretary and treasurer
of the Shelbyville Water Supply for
38 years. Ms. Bradberry was a lifelong
resident of Shelbyville and was a member
of the Shelbyville United Methodist
Church.
