Center FFA Attends Leadership Development Event Contest at SFA - November 9, 2011

On Tuesday November 8th, Center FFA members competed in the Piney Woods District Leadership Develpoment Events at Stephen F. Austin University.

Competing were:

• Alec Lucas - Job Interview
• Rachel Risinger, Tori Davis and Julie McSwain, Haleigh Denby(Alternate) - Radio
• Klaryssa Gutierrez, Emily Glass,Sara Harkness and Ashton Lucas - FFA Skills Demonstration (Floral Design Skills)

The Skills team placed 2nd in District and will advance to the Area 9 Competition on November 15th.

Center Middle School administrators, teachers, and students would like to extend a heartfelt expression of gratitude to our parents, local business owners, and other community members who helped make the CMS Fall Festival a big success. We are appreciative to all of you who brought spaghetti, salad, bread, plates, cakes, and cookies. CMS would especially like to acknowledge JML Management and K&L Contractors, who donated the rental cost of our Bounce House and cotton candy machine. Thank you also to Chief Imaging for our posters.

Without the help of everyone, this event would not have been nearly as successful. Please remember that it is our students who reap the benefits when schools and communities work together.
