What’s
New at the Library
- February 27, 2010
Submitted by Joan Huff
In my reading experience, the
most touching books are always
children’s books. They
can bring a tear faster than
any melodramatic romance novel
ever written. My latest find
that falls into this category
is “Dewey-There’s
a Cat in the Library”.
Sandra wanted this one for the
library and I couldn’t
resist reading it when it arrived.
You may have to like cats as
much as I do to feel this way,
but I think the illustrations
alone will win over most anyone.
I had read the novel, “Dewey”
and had fallen in love with
the famous real library cat.
Now, fortunately, there will
be a generation of children
exposed to this special feline.
The recent winter weather has
not kept people from the library.
Our computers have especially
been busy. Unfortunately many
of our users have been job seekers.
We’ve had a lot of request
for help with resumes. Computer
programs have made it easy for
the average person to make a
professional looking resume.
I remember paying someone to
do my first resume. I guess
professional resume writers
are a thing of the past.
