Composed by J.J. Ford, More Photos
Shelbyville S.W. Carter Elementary hosted Breakfast with Grandparents Monday morning, September 19, 2011. Grandparents and their grand kids enjoyed a pig in a blanket, apple sauce, cereal, orange juice, or milk. Shelbyville ISD nurse, 'Momma' Jean Taylor, with the help of several students passed out a book, "We Love our Grandparents Because..." for everyone to enjoy. Inside the book were quotes from S.W. Carter students of why they love their grandparents.
Some quotes included:
"They keep me and take me to Wal-Mart"
"Because they take me on trips"
"Because they come out to play with me and Grandma swings with me"
"They let me help feed the puppy"
"They are sweet and loveable"
"They play games with me"
"They help me with homework"
"They give me popsicles!"
"He rides me around on the gator"
"They are loving and sweet!" |
