At present TCCA serves Harrison, Jasper, Newton, Panola, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Tyler, Angelina and Upshur counties. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other. San Augustine Breakfast with Dad a Success - February 14, 2012
Submitted by Diane Hughes
San Augustine Head Start and Early Head Start were full of enthusiastic parents on Friday, February 10th. It was time again for “Breakfast with Dad”, a time to celebrate the positive influence Dads have, as teachers, on their children. Everyone toured the Center and looked at all the beautiful artwork on the walls. The food could be smelled from outside. It consisted of Breakfast casserole, fresh berries, grits, milk, juice and biscuits. Ms Renee, the food specialist, prepared the perfect amount of food and everyone had their fill. “Breakfast with Dad was a success”, Ms. Renee said. All classes ate family style so much conversation was going on. In attendance were fourteen Dad’s, Grandfathers and Uncles and eleven Mom’s who were representing for their children’s Dads. The children giggled with excitement to have company while they were eating. Tri-County Community Action is proud to associate with such great parents who are determined to help their children get a head start in learning. If you’d like information on how your children can get into the birth to three Early Head Start program or the three to five year old Head Start program, call 936-598-6315.
